Reimagining the Village Core: A Multi-functional Townhouse Hub

 

This new townhouse, built upon the foundation of the old, serves as a modern public hub, blending essential services with vibrant community spaces. At ground level, the design incorporates a post office, doctor’s office, bank, and pediatric clinic, all unified by a continuous porch. The porch provides shelter and encourages social interaction, acting as a meeting point for villagers, protected from the weather.

 

Above, an earth-toned volume rises, defined by vertical elements that provide shading and frame the building’s openings. The design reflects a minimalist aesthetic, with colors inspired by the surrounding fields, creating a connection between the architecture and the landscape.

 

The first floor houses public offices, with the porch continuing as an outdoor staircase that links the building to an adjacent, underutilized public park. This connection is key to the project’s goal of transforming the park into a safe, inviting space for the community.

 

By combining clean design with fast, cost-effective construction methods, this project creates a new center for the village, offering both essential services and a revitalized social space. Through thoughtful architecture, the project redefines the village’s identity, providing a central hub where the community can reconnect and thrive.
